Vintage lavender

I am so excited to share this card I made a few days ago as requested by my niece for her mum. Her mum loves lavender, purple, ribbons and lace. I looked through my stash and gathered up anything that fit this theme. I had an idea of how I wanted it to look but I don't always find it easy to interpret my thoughts. Imagine my joy when slowly this card was born! Its almost exactly what I had in mind. The image is a stamp by Hampton Art and the background paper and card are by Anna Griffin. I cut the oval and flourish with my Cuttlebug. I do enjoy making sweet cards (as you can tell) although I do like distressed and collage style as well. I actually like anything that looks pretty and I'm easily pleased! Hope you enjoy.

Thanks for visiting! xx

  5. Hi Shanti! I'm so glad u left a comment on my blog. Thank u for sharing your colouring methods. It's very nice! I sometimes colour it with normal colour pencils, but the effect came out wasn't that good. =(
I may plan to buy prisma colours. Illustrator is an adobe software, where I get to colour it from the computer, then print and cut it. I've just learnt to use it last year.
Do you have any ideas where can i get prismas colour in Kuala Lumpur?
Looking forward to hear from you.

    Thanks Shanti!

  7. Eve, glad to help. I don't think you can get Prismas in Msia, not sure about Spore. I bought them from the States. There are alternatives like Lyra etc. Best to go to a good art shop and see what they have or they may be able to recommend. Prismas are artist grade pencils. If I do come across any I'll be sure to let you know. I hear there's a branch of Art Friend in Midvalley.Hope this helps.xx
